Wall and Floor Tile Fixer
Lays ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.
4416-11 Wall and Floor Tiler Skill Level:
An AQF Certificate III or higher qualification is required. Registration or licensing may be required.
4416-11 Wall and Floor Tiler Tasks Include:
- examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and lays out work
- preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, and cleaning and dry polishing
- spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
- ensures tiles are aligned
- grouting tiles and cleaning and removing excess grout
- may be laying floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition
