Playing golf professionally in tournaments or as a resident professional, organising golf related activities.
3993-13 Golfer Skill Level:
An AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience is required. This occupation requires high levels of physical fitness, sporting ability and personal commitment as well as, or in place of, formal qualifications or experience. Registration or licensing is required.
3993-13 Golfer Tasks Include:
- playing golf in tournaments for prize money
- training in the skills and techniques required for playing golf
- organising competitions, collecting green fees and hiring out golfing equipment
- observing performances of golf players
- coaching and instructing golf players by demonstrating techniques
- overseeing training and evaluating golf players' physical condition
- prescribing routines and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles and improve fitness
- operating golf related retail operations
