Planning, promoting and controlling the activities, facilities and resources of fitness centres.
3391-11 Fitness Centre Manager Skill Level:
An AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience is required. Sometimes relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification. Registration or licensing may be required.
3391-11 Fitness Centre Manager Tasks Include:
- ensuring that all fitness facilities are properly maintained and conform to safety standards
- organises publicity to promote fitness facilities and attract clients
- selecting, training and supervising staff
- planning fitness programs to be offered by the centre and implements new procedures
- undertaking coaching and fitness instruction
- managing handling of cash receipts
- may be planning and organising catering facilities
