Plumbing Engineering Technician
Surveying and designing plumbing and water supply systems and prepares drawings and reports.
3121-21 Plumbing Engineering Associate Skill Level:
An AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience is required. Sometimes relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification. Registration or licensing may be required.
3121-21 Plumbing Engineering Associate Tasks Include:
- carrying out surveys and preparing survey reports
- preparing working drawings and specifications
- designing sanitary plumbing and water supply systems including fire service systems
- representing owners, project managers, architects and civil engineers on construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications
- identifying and solving problems in buildings and civil engineering projects
- assisting with the preparation of estimates of quantities and costs of materials and labour required for projects
- may be supervising other workers
