Interviewing applicants to determine their job requirements and suitability for particular jobs, and assisting employers to find suitable staff.
2291-13 Personnel Consultant Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least 5 years relevant experience is required. In some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.
2291-13 Personnel Consultant Tasks Include:
- interviewing people seeking work, and recording relevant information
- arranging interviewing for job seekers
- receiving and recording job vacancy information from employers, including details such as duties, wages and conditions of employment
- arranging training in job skills
- answering inquiries from employers and job seekers, and providing information on current job vacancies
- assisting with sales and marketing duties to increase the client base, including visiting employers to discuss consultancy services and fees
- preparing resumes and correspondence
- checking references of applicants
- writing and placing advertisements for jobs in newspapers
