2231-13 Systems Designer
Conducting research into computer and communications systems, and developing techniques for their effective application and use.
2231-13 Systems Designer Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least 5 years relevant experience is required. In some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.
2231-13 Systems Designer Tasks Include:
- conducting research into user interaction with information technology systems and areas in which ease and efficiency of use could be enhanced
- reviewing and developing computer architecture and design, computer languages, computational techniques, data communication processes, and user interface devices
- testing new information technology system designs and rectifying design problems found
- performing acceptance testing of new system components
- writing reports and papers describing findings for publication
