2212-13 Internal Auditor
Audit Officer
Examining, verifying, evaluating and reporting on financial, operational and managerial processes, systems and outcomes to ensure financial and operational integrity and compliance.
2212-13 Internal Auditor Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification is required. In some instance relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification. Registration or licensing is required.
2212-13 Internal Auditor Tasks Include:
- evaluating the cost effectiveness and risks of operational processes, activities, policies and systems
- reporting to management on the existence and effectiveness of the system of internal controls
- preparing financial statements and reports for management, shareholders and statutory bodies
- establishing audit objectives, designing and implementing audit methodologies, processes and audit report criteria
- identifying and applying relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements
- discussing reports with other auditors and issuing reports recommending performance or control improvements
