Welfare Project Manager
Managing and coordinating centres, programs or projects concerned with social welfare support.

1299-15 Welfare Centre Manager Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least 5 years relevant experience is required. In some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.

1299-15 Welfare Centre Manager Tasks Include:
  • evaluating resources devoted to health, welfare, recreation, housing, employment, training and other community facilities or centres
  • interpreting identified needs for community organisations or centres, social agencies and groups, and stimulating their interest and enlisting their co-operation
  • providing leadership, establishing, coordinating or administering programs or centres such as neighbourhood houses, community support groups, employment training programs or volunteer programs
  • preparing reports and assisting with budgeting and policy formulation
