Managing the operations and organisation of a research or production laboratory.
1299-13 Laboratory Manager Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least 5 years relevant experience is required.
1299-13 Laboratory Manager Tasks Include:
- supervising laboratory technical staff and ensuring they follow standard operating procedures
- managing the care, handling and disposal of hazardous substances
- working with production managers to ensure efficiency and quality of operations
- designing and supervising validation studies and training programs
- effecting procedures to ensure factory or laboratory sanitation and delivering personal hygiene programs
- supervising batch manufacturing and labelling processes
- managing staff recruitment and human resource and Occupational Health and Safety issues
