Planning, developing, administering and reviewing policy advice and strategic planning within a government agency or corporate business.
1291-11 Policy and Planning Manager Skill Level:
A bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least 5 years relevant experience is required. In some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.
1291-11 Policy and Planning Manager Tasks Include:
- developing policies, provides advice and information concerning areas of government and corporate policy and planning
- coordinating policy formulation and review, including evaluation of policy options
- overseeing implementation of organisational directives and policies
- providing briefings concerning policy and planning issues to government ministers or board members
- preparing discussion papers on policy and planning options
